80 MORE STUDENTS WILL BENEFIT FROM FCN's NUTRITION PROGRAM

80 more students will benefit from Focus on Children Now (FCN)’s Nutrition Program; bringing the grand total of FCN’s Nutrition Program beneficiaries to over 580 students

Starting Monday June 6th, FCN will provide daily nutrition to 80 students attending the after school program at the Social-Educational Center of Armenian Apostolic Church Shirak Diocese located in Gyumri.

FCN’s Nutrition Program at Gyumir’s Social-Educational Center will complement UMCOR’s (http://umcor.am/) cheese program by providing daily Bread, Tea and Sugar (to be served with cheese) to 80 students attending the center.

About Shirak  Diocese  Social - Educational Center  – The center was founded with the initiative of Shirak Diocese and WCC Armenia Round Table Charitable Foundation  in 2005. With the mission to develop self-confidence and self -esteem in the target groups of the Social Center by involving them in various educational, social and cultural programs and the goal to contribute to improving the social, economic and cultural conditions of the people of Gyumri and Shirak region. Beneficiaries of Social-Educational Center at Gyumri are: 

• Socially vulnerable people,
• Children, youth, women, men, elderly and disabled people,
• Community groups,
• Marginal groups (offenders, victims of trafficking, vagrants),
• Unemployed people,
• Those who have psychological difficulties
