Armenian Christmas Party, Benefiting FCN's "Children's Nutrition Program"

Glendale, CA – December 29, 2009 - On Saturday, January 10, 2009 Roobik and Carmen Ovanesian of Glendale will open their landmark home to family, friends and local public officials in celebration of their annual Armenian Christmas Party. The Ovanesians expect several hundred guests.

Every year the Ovanesians ask that in lieu of gifts, their guests consider making a tax deductible donation to a designated Armenian charity concentrating on underprivileged children. The charity they have chosen to support this year is "Focus on Children Now (FCN)". The donations collected at this event will be used to fund FCN's newly launched "Children's Nutrition Program", scheduled to commence in January 2009.

376 school children in the town of Bertzor located at the Kashatagh region of Artzakh have been selected as the first beneficiaries of FCN’s "Children’s Nutrition Program". The initial goal is for FCN to provide milk and nutritional snack daily to all of Bertzor’s school children throughout the 2009 academic year.

Focus on Children Now, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the motto "Break the Poverty Cycle, One Child at a Time." FCN’s 100% volunteer team, working with a loyal donor base and a trusted network of partners, has been helping impoverished children in need of basic life necessities since 2005 through its various programs.
