FCN Donates and Installs Heaters for Gavar Special School

Los Angeles, October 10, 2005 - Gavar Special School will now have HEAT during the upcoming winter.
Focus on Children Now Inc. (FCN), donated 12 gas heaters and provided the labor and materials for installation. The heaters were placed in all of the dormitory rooms as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd form classrooms. The final three were placed in the sewing room, shoe making room and handicraft room where it is important to have warm hands to work.

These heaters replaced the dung and diesel drip heaters that were very dangerous. It was not uncommon for the developmentally challenged children to accidentally knock over the furnaces and place themselves in harms way. This gift will ensure the safety and health of the children as Gavar is a very cold place where winter begins in October and ends in mid-May.

Gavar Special School children, staff and volunteers are very thankful for this very kind donation. This gift will allow the children to learn, sleep and play without worrying about staying warm.
