New York Life Donates $35,000 to Focus on Children Now, Inc. (FCN)

Los Angeles, November 08, 2008 - Arpineh Babakhanian, Esq., through her close involvement with Focus on Children Now wished to positively impact the future projects of the organization. As such, she approached a fellow colleague, Reza Sina, Esq. who works for the firm of Kabateck, Brown & Kellner. Mr. Sina, along with his firm, litigated the infamous New York Life class action lawsuit over non-payment of claims to the families of Armenians who were killed in the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1923. As a result of that lawsuit, any proceeds not disbursed were placed in the "New York Life Charity Fund." Mr. Sina had the opportunity to petition for a portion of these funds to go to any organization of his choosing. Through the professional relationship he had with Ms. Babakhanian and knowing the noteworthy purpose of Focus on Children Now, he set out to secure the organization a portion of these proceeds. Through the collaboration of Ms. Babakhanian and Mr. Sina, a $35,000.00 check was presented to Focus on Children Now at organization's Nov. 8th Art Exhibit. This money will go towards future projects of Focus on Children Now.
