Gavar Special School Roof Restoration Project was Extended to School Balcony

Focus on Children Now, Inc. (FCN) in conjunction with its project to replace Gavar Special School's roof, restored and improved the balcony of the school, which had sustained weather damage presenting a serious safety issue if not addressed immediately. Emil Mailian, the architect in charge of the roof restoration project, donated the time and material for all the necessary repairs to the balcony.

The project involved the replacement of balcony's existing roof, repairing it with cement and finally sealing it to waterproof thus preventing the rain and snow from building up on the balcony which led to structural damage.

FCN felt that it was important to ensure the original project, Gavar Special School's roof replacement, was fully completed. This was the final step to ensure a successful overall project.
