Located just over 41 miles from Yerevan, Bambakashat hosts a population of 3,481 people and 1,328 households. Interestingly enough, the demographic consists of both Armenians and Yezidis. Their main source of income comes from livestock breeding and general agriculture. The village’s kindergarten consists of 60 children. In 2018, FCN provided the kindergarten with a new and safe playground.
In 2019, the same sponsors revisited the playground and decided the sponsor a resting area, or a zrutsaran, so that the children can enjoy a nice break without being under the sun.
