Lchashen (Armenian: Լճաշեն) is a major village in the Gegharkunik Province.

65 KM from Yerevan, Lchashen’s settlement dates to the 3rd millennium BC. The village has an estimated 4,863 residents living in 1,110 households. The economy of the town is

predominantly based on agriculture and Cattle breeding.

460 students attend the village’s sole school (1-12 grade), and the kindergarten is a second home to 90 children.

The community has renovated the kindergarten to accommodate more children by adding one new group (30 children); increasing the number of kindergarteners from 90 to 120. Unfortunately, the kindergarten is unable to accept the new group due to a lack of furniture. The community is requested beds, bedding, and furniture for 30 children

The Lchashen Furniture project also created full-time employment for 3 locals
