Margara (Armenian: Մարգարա) is a village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. Margara is the closest border crossing to Turkey from Yerevan, though at present the border is closed. Margara has a road bridge across the Arax River to Turkey. The Border Guard Service of Russia patrols the closed border between Armenia and Turkey.

The economy of the town is predominantly based on agriculture. 50 KM from Yerevan, with an estimated population of 1,400 living in 490 households, the village of Margara has 1 school (1-12 grade) with 150 students. Although the village has a newly renovated kindergarten, the kindergarten was not in operation due to a lack of furniture. The community leader requested beds with bedding and furniture, as well as a playground to furnish the newly renovated kindergarten.

The Margara furniture project has created employment for full time 6 locals
