Sardarapat (Armenian:Սարդարապատ), is a major village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. With a population of 6,300 and 1,750 households; The resident’s main source of income is grape, vegetable, and fruit tree farming and livestock cultivation. The village has one school (1-12 grade) with 671 students and 45 preschoolers. Over the past 5 years, the community has invested over $65,000 in the renovation of the kindergarten including renovation of 1/3 of the kindergarten building, replacement of first floor doors and windows, and installation of gas line for heating. Children from 5 neighboring communities of Aygevan, Lenughi, Arax, Amasia, Nor–Caesarea (where there are no kindergartens) also attend the Sardarrapat kindergartens. With all the renovation expenses, the community had no funds to provide the kindergarten with much-needed new and safe playground equipment. In 2021, we installed a playground so that the children can enjoy both the indoors and the outdoors when they’re attending kindergarten.
