Shahumyan Village Playground

Shahumyan is a village in the Armavir province, located just 25 km from Yerevan—about a 30-minute drive. With a population of 1,450 across 305 households, the community relies heavily on farming, including grapes, livestock, vegetation, crop cultivation, and poultry. The village has one K–12 school serving 200 students, and its only kindergarten has 60 children. In 2022, a request was submitted to Focus on Children Now (FCN) to build a playground in the school’s renovated yard, which offers a safe and welcoming space for young learners. Thanks to generous support, the $5,000 project is now complete—giving 60 kindergarteners a safe place to play and enjoy their childhood.
