Artashat #4 Kindergarten Beds, Furniture, and Playground

Artashat is a city in Armenia’s Ararat province, located along the Araks River in the Ararat plain, about 30 kilometers—or an hour’s drive—from Yerevan. With a population of 29,040, Artashat is home to several major industrial firms, including Artfood cannery, Shaumyan Alco, and Ararat Group, known for producing vodka, brandy, and soft drinks. The city has one kindergarten serving 190 students across seven classrooms. In the past year, two additional classrooms were renovated with support from Hamaynk, allowing 60 more children to attend. A request for beds, bedding, and furniture was submitted to FCN at the beginning of the year, and the project has since been fully completed. The kindergarten also received a newly remodeled playground, giving children a safe and welcoming space to play. Thanks to this initiative, more children in Artashat now have access to a nurturing early education environment.
