The project was implemented in the village of Voskehat, located in the Vagharshapat community of the Armavir region, about 19 kilometers from Yerevan and 5 kilometers from Etchmiadzin. The village has a population of 6,000 residents and 882 households, with most people engaged in animal husbandry and agriculture.
Voskehat has one school with 283 students, and one kindergarten attended by 32 children. Before the community consolidation, the kindergarten operated for 8 months a year, but after renovation works, it began operating 12 months annually and was equipped with a modern heating system.
Through this project, the kindergarten was furnished with new classroom furniture, including beds and bedding, a playground, and a piano, meeting its essential needs and creating a safe, functional, and engaging environment for the children.
Voskehat Kindergarten is the only preschool in the village serving children aged 3 to 6 years old. Previously, the lack of adequate resources and infrastructure had prevented it from providing proper learning conditions, depriving many children of access to early education. Some parents had been forced to take their children to kindergartens in Etchmiadzin, facing financial strain due to high tuition and transportation costs.
Thanks to the project’s completion, Voskehat now offers quality early education to all local children, including those from socially vulnerable families, ensuring that every child in the community has access to a nurturing and well-equipped learning environment.
