Yeghegnadzor #1 Kindergarten Beds

The project took place in the town of Yeghegnadzor, located in the Vayots Dzor region, 120 kilometers from Yerevan. The town had a population of 8,187 people. A total of 106 children attended the Yeghegnadzor Community Kindergarten No. 1, located on Mikoyan Street. The kindergarten operated 11 months a year and was equipped with a heating system. The project also contributed to the creation of six new jobs.

In September 2024, the kindergarten building was declared unsafe by the community administration and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, leading to the urgent evacuation of the children. The municipality decided to temporarily accommodate them across three other kindergartens in the community by opening additional groups. Meanwhile, urgent renovation works began in the former municipality building, which was planned to be completed within four months.

The project addressed the kindergarten’s immediate need for group room furniture, including the provision of 53 bunk beds, ensuring that children could continue their education in a safe and comfortable environment.
