Mets Masrik is a small town in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. Home to 3,500 people, most of the villagers are Armenians who emigrated from Azerbaijan. There is 1 kindergarten where 90 children attend. The kindergarten is located in two separate buildings. Mets Masrik #2 Kindergarten was in need of 30 new beds, as their beds were made of old and toxic materials. We’re happy to report that this project was requested and fulfilled in a matter of one week! Talk about a fast turnaround. The sponsors of this project first visited the kindergarten and spotted the need on June 12th and were able to participate in the grand opening just a week later on June 19th. When the need is pressing and hazardous, it’s important to do what we can in order to make a lasting change.
